Never really thought of it this way, or at least put it into words. If we as individuals have the capacity and capability to do something, yet we rely on the system to support us, then we are being extremely uncompassionate to those who truly cannot do for themselves. It reminds me of perfectly able bodied men who suck on the government teat for food, money, healthcare, phones, whathaveyou, while the rest of us wake up and put in our 40-70 per week.
