Since I began cutting carbs I've always missed my fav chip-type snack, Cheetos. Today I found an alternative...
I call it Keto Cheat-O's... and they're delish...
You start with a bag of Pork Rinds. I prefer the Kroger Brand for the amount, quality, cost. Then you get a jar of cheese flavoring sold online for making mac-n-cheese or popcorn flavor. I went with the Vermont white even though it's not the right color, it was half the carbs of the other brands.
Next you fill a container(I use a mason jar as it keeps them fresh and crunchy too) with rinds, and add a Tbsp or two of the cheese powder and replace the lid.
Shake... and enjoy...
Now the serving size is 2 Tbsp and that's 3g of carbs, 4.5g Fat, and 4g protein. I put 2Tbsp in a jar full of rinds. You could easily use half that and coat it well. The jar is a couple servings of rinds for me. So, it's roughly a quarter of a serving of the cheese product plus your choice of rind. I call it an effective gram of carbs/fat/pro per serving or basically negligible for my diet needs...
