...and now I need to buy a backup camera.

God love the woman, and I swear I AM a patient man. But, if I ever need her help lining up a trailer ball again it’ll be the end of us.

Do any of y’all have experience with the magnetic, WiFi enabled hitch cameras?

Something like this:

thoughts? Options?

Gf's mom and dad own a campground and I see alot of these exact ones mounted on the back of campers

I feel your pain! I wasn't sure how our marriage was going to fair when we first got our camper. It was like we were from two entirely different planets when it came to backing up. We just got back yesterday afternoon from a trip and I must say after 5 years it was pretty smooth.

Ha, mine is actually pretty good at helping with that.

No personal experience using a backup camera for it, but I’ve seen people use them and line the trailer right up with ease.

I don't have a wireless one on the camper, mine is wired from back to the tongue and has a disconnect that attaches to truck. It has it's own screen that sits on the dash.

It's great for backing up, but also when going down a freeway. Nice to be able to glance at that screen when doing a lane change. Kept one dumbass on a cycle from getting killed when he was passing between cars on I-40.

And yeah, after 38 years, my wife is still not much help when it comes to backing up.

If it's just to line up the truck to the trailer, just put a regular back up camera on it. I put a wired camera on my truck, with the camera mounted on top of the bumper under the tailgate, and would back my truck up right to the ball with ease.

My father in law has a stand alone unit for the back of his camper and likes it for backing into sites and also traveling. Nothing beats hooking up a trailer with a regular back up camera. We have one on our truck and it makes hooking the camper a breeze. My wife’s only part of helping to back anything is making sure the sewer outlets doesn’t drag or the bumper hit at the back of the site. I handle the rest.
