As much as I hate Amazon it's about the only place I can buy things online with cash and they normally have close to the best price

Yeah, go ahead and buy an ACOG on Amazon. You may get a Pinty Tactical Sight that roughly looks like a real ACOG, you might get a real ACOG it's a roll of the dice.
If you watch and catch a model you want on sale, I like Euro Optic.

I was scratching my head on what "ACOG" meant before I opened the thread. So I googled it.

Top of the search list was "American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists"

Looking back at the New Posts page I saw it was posted under "Optics Talk". So I added "optics" to the search and got "Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight".

That sounded a bit more on point!
