is worthy of consideration if you're in the market for a general purpose homeowner sized chainsaw.
The Stihl MS 251 series is highly regarded in the industry and has the best power to weight ratio of any Stihl chainsaw. I have it's older cousin - the 250, and have been quite pleased with it. It's my "go-to" saw for limbing or keeping around the sawmill for cleaning up branches protruding off of sawlogs.
The price is excellent too. One thing to keep in mind is that if we ever have an extended power outage - such as from an ice storm or hurricane, unless you have a generator you won't be able to charge a cordless chainsaw. Whereas with this one, you can buy some of the Stihl pre-mix fuel to keep on hand and you'll be good to go.
At any rate, for those who may be in the market but don't know much about chainsaws, I just wanted to share some advice from an experienced user.
