I just started looking around for an aftermarket trigger for my Gen 3 G19. My current one has got some age and it just feels really gritty now.

I have been seeing the Timney Alpha Glock trigger around for $120-140ish.

Are there any others worth considering? I guess Im looking for a complete drop in like the Timney Alpha or the CMC.

This is not for a daily carry gun but one I shoot in matches and at the range etc

I run the Suarez straight & flat in all mine. I know some people don't care for Gabe, or what he names his triggers, but I'm not one who let's little stuff like that get in the way of a using a good product.

I feel like the Timney is one of the “go-to” triggers these days for glocks.

I’ve got an Apex in one Glock and an Overwatch Precision in another. Not terribly exciting or different. I’d try something different.

I just saw a video of Taran Butler of Taran tactical, who do and sell their own triggers, praising the timney.

I have the Overwatch PolyDat and would agree, not all that impressive. It was all I could find at the time last year, but I wouldn’t buy one again. Nothing wrong with it but it’s not worth the premium IMO.

I like the Overwatch PolyDat shoe, but tried a drop-in kit with that shoe in a Gen4 G19, and I'm not really pleased. It made the pull a little lighter, but feels loose and sloppy. I'll probably just move the shoe over to the stock internals.

I've become accustomed to the Glock trigger pull, but my bony, crooked trigger fanger doesn't like serrated triggers, so I tend to just swap out the shoe. If I ever try swapping internal parts again, it will be JohnnyGlocks stuff.

I have an Apex flat trigger in one of mine and it’s meh, not worth the money honestly. The best trigger out of all my Glocks is an old Gen 3 17 that has a ton of rounds through it, a polish job and competition spring kit.

Unless you’re just looking to do something different, I would change out the springs, connector, and polish it up and I bet you would have a much better trigger.

Stay away from Lenny's Glock Store.
I've a G34 gen4, he advertised, and had a yuutoob vid of how his gen5 connector fit the gen4, and it improved the pull. I called to verify, they confirmed and I ordered it. It didn't fit, they didn't want to do a refund at all, even after I sent them a link to the vid. After multiple calls they refunded the connector, but not the $15 freight they charged about a part they lied about.

Have you tried some oil between trigger connector and back part of the trigger bar?

He should rename them Shlong Shooter Trigger.

Avoid the timneys... I have seen several of them fail.

I prefer the Overwatch TAC

Ill echo this. A fresh polish and a new set of spring cups and springs will do wonders.

if it is a super high round count glock you should considering pulling the chanel liner and doing a deep clean, then replacing with a fresh liner.

Also consider an oem minus connector (sp00721) can get them on ebay.

One of best Glock triggers I have tried was just the stock G17 range gun at PDHSC.

I think Chris said it had like 100,000 rounds through it! Definitely broken in!

Nobody mentioned Vogel.

I would second a Vogel from GlockTriggers. The use stock Glock components and polish them until they are a mirror surface. I have had one in a Glock 34 Gen4 set up for IDPA and USPSA for a few years and it still feels great. it came with a various springs for the trigger and firing pin, etc to tune it.

I use the Timney Alpha Glock trigger in my Glock 34.5 and IMO it's perfect. I've tried multiple different Glock triggers at this point and it's by far my favorite. Crisp clean pull weight, light, quick audible reset. Use it with a 3.5lb connector. Polish the engagement surfaces a little bit if you feel up to the task. I did with mine and it's butter smooth, has a well-defined wall, and a clean, consistent 3lb break. Be sure to add their little accessory spring in it - it's technically not necessary but it really helps with getting a positive reset.
