I though I had seen everything in the world that has to do with a AK when it comes to accessories. This has got me scratching my head. It looks to be specificity made for a AK, Also not sure what this FSB is off of

You bought the milled Mak didn't you? That's a standard FSB.

Chinese? You should know that if so!

The back has been cut I’m guessing then. I have to look closer with glasses when I get home. Part of the hood is missing. It looks to be cut to clean for a bubba job. That’s what’s up growing me off

Ah, I see that now. That is the OG FSB, but the one I had way back when had a full hood. Maybe bubba thought he was letting in more light so he could see his front sight better.

I own an AK and I still known NOTHING about them except for basic safety and operation.

When I saw that Mak for sale, I looked at the pics, and I said "WTH IS THAT WIRE ON THE FRONT SIGHT POST?"

I can’t believe it was still around by the time I seen it. I didn’t see it until this morning. Plus set up with a Dragunuv stock the way I set shooters up.

I had no idea of its value or worth so I stayed away from it. And, I was scared of that weird home made bread twist tie on the front sight. 😳 😂

Looked like a slant back factory 386 milled. I have one just like it with a Ironwood walnut stock now.

It looks like someone notched out the rear of the hood specifically to fit that clip-on night sight, and then hit it with some Birchwood Casey blue. Since the top of the hood is already open for an elevation tool, the cut out should be fairly straightforward with a Dremel and steady hands. At least Bubba wasn't a boozehound.

If you rub your thumb over that exposed area, does the metal feel rough or uneven at all?

I just found out that he had passed a few weeks ago. Is anyone carrying out his work?

I don't believe so. The website came back online back in November, but the last update was that no more orders are being accepted.

It was pretty much a one person op. From what I heard the family is hoping someone will buy the business out and continue it. But with the business being mainly his skills as a wood worker it's probably going to be a hard sale. I wish them luck though, I've got a couple pieces of different furniture he made and it has all be great stuff.

Did you put the Dragunov SVD stock on it that you got from me when you got the Arsenal slr95 AK-47 from me?

A buddy in here ran me down a factory SLR stock
Awesome man I'm glad you found a factory stock for it and it looks great in the picture you sent me with the drum mag and flames shooting out the barrel. Do you still have the Ultimak handguard I gave you with slr95? If so are you using it or would you be interested in selling it back to me or trading it to me for something else if you are not planning on using it for something else?

Yeah, those Chinese AK's were never going to be worth anything. Cut away.

Same here..my lack of knowledge is only exceeded by my lack of interest..if any of the Carolina Hammers malfunctions, I'll pick up one of the others here.
I've been hearing alot of great things about the Carolina Hammer AK-47 builds and thinking about getting one for myself. I haven't seen anyone trading or selling one in my area of travel but I would be interested in trading another nice AK-47 or possibly another gun I have for one if someone decided to sell or trade one that I would be interested in. From what I have been told here on the forum is the guy that builds them is like the Leonardo Da Vinci of AK-47 builds and extremely good.
