better off ordering online......store prices are higher. But they have a nice range in ColumbiaI'm going by PSA in two weeks.
Hard to go wrong with these: https://palmettostatearmory.com/d-h-5-56-30rd-aluminum-magazine-8416.html
I've extensively used them for nigh-on 5 or 6 years and they just work. I have some milsurp mags and Colt mags and I use all of them interchangeable in all my 5.56 ARs.thanks, have you had consistent results running the D&H personally? I’ve heard mixed opinions between them and Okay industries, hoping someone has some extensive use reports
Sounds like a winner! Are you running these in a duty/competition setting or range?I've extensively used them for nigh-on 5 or 6 years and they just work. I have some milsurp mags and Colt mags and I use all of them interchangeable in all my 5.56 ARs.
range mostly but I wouldn't hesitate to use them for competition. Hard to screw up a metal mag - there was a shootout where they drop tested a crap-ton of different mags and the steel and aluminum GIs where up there in the top along with Pmags. I have had a plastic mag crack at the feed lips and I don't buy those anymore (CAA)Sounds like a winner! Are you running these in a duty/competition setting or range?
I use PMags in my 5.56. But every time this discussion comes up, there are rarely complaints on here for the 5.56 D&H mags.thanks, have you had consistent results running the D&H personally? I’ve heard mixed opinions between them and Okay industries, hoping someone has some extensive use reports

I have some Okay 20rd mags from the 70s that still function as intended...I used two of them at a match last weekend. I have Okay 30rd mags from the 80's/90s but they do not get used very often.
Center Industries has the big .gov contract for metal mags for the Army...they have also been making mags for a long time, but had some of these way back that did have follower issues (sticking), but I know there are some still around here in one of the milk crates.
I have a ton of Colt mags, and that is what I predominately use, followed by Okay. No personal experience with D&H, but have never heard anything bad about them.
Mags are a weaker point of any firearm ... do not cheap out on them. That being said D&H mags from PSA (around $9) are one of my range mag choice along with Okay Surefeed mags (around $12 and also aluminum w/Teflon coating). Funny thing though is my “Golden Go To” HD mags are two 1980’s mfg Colt 20 round GI mags. Knock on wood those mags have fed so reliably and their size and balance just feel near perfect for home work. I also have a couple HK steel mags (they are HEAVY even unloaded) I really like that are tanks but damn they are expensive at $40 plus when you see them.
I have some Magpuls and they’ve been great but I’ve had older ones crack at the feedlips, chipped a couple feedlips for one reason or another, etc. On my aluminum mags I can clean and adjust the feedlips ... I’ve taken GI mags people have trashed, cleaned them up, replace the spring & follower and set the feedlips to where they run like a champ. Magpuls are great but I think being polymer they have a shelf life while good old GI mags can be refreshed many more time than Magpuls ... like my 35 plus year old Colts.
thanks for the info, are you getting new colt mags or hunting up surplus?
Will check it out, thanks!Every month airborne "Joes" on Bragg post up lots of surplus mags on armslist...and a lot of new ones still in the wrappers...I am always buying these up...you cant have too many mags, ever. search the Fayetteville armslist for magazines, I think there are still some up now.

AR stoner mags have given me a couple of hiccups. They at made for Midway USA to mil specs but don't always work in the rifles I have used them in. I have also has a couple of failures from magpul mags. I have some mags from Bravo company ,Kay Mags, C products and a pot full of original Colt 20 and 30 round mags.
no problems from Colt mags and the ones from CproductsSo what is the single constant? Sounds like the lower.
no problems from Colt mags and the ones from Cproducts
have several, Colt, DPMS, RockRiver, Bushmaster.Problem is not the lower Its the mags. I took a piece of red tape and put around the bad ones. Finally said F it and threw 8 mags in the trash.Problem solved. What lower?
I'm going to buy PSA in two weeks.

but the wish is strong...I'm going by PSA in two weeks.
Another one here that has ran D&H pretty hard in classes and range training with no problems whatsoever. Stack em deep.
