Yeah, I've seen those. With the current price of trucks and possible tax incentives, it's really not a bad price...

Economic lunacy. But what else can we expect in these times? Amazon will probably just get some huge rebates or tax incentives to offset the stupidity, and tax payers will get to fund it. Same old, same old.

They better invest in setting up solar farms (on top of their warehouse/distribution centers) for power to recharge the batteries or the “carbon footprint” saving will be for naught unless the local power plant is nuclear powered.

Very true, but factor in the cost of many trucks these days and 80k is becoming more and more reasonable.
4 door f150 starts in the low 50s, and goes up from there (as an example)
