With the amnesty period fast approaching, I’m looking at downsizing. I really just don’t feel that invested in my collection to go the registration route on several items —free or not. I know, I’m a complying cuck. I’ve already made mind mind up on some items , but I’m trying to figure out which way to go on the BT vs Ap5s. I’ve got the apc9 pro, Apc9k, ap5 and ap5-p, and looking to get rid of two. It’s either keep 2 of the same platform vs 1 of each. I’m a larger guy so part of me want to just keep the full size of each, and part of me wants to keep just one platform due to sharing of magazines and manual of arms etc. Help me decide please! I don’t plan on just keeping everything, I am going to down size.

If you’re set on getting rid of 2, I’d keep the larger of each for the sake of maintaining variety. While mag compatibility is nice, does the apc9k do anything the apc9 can’t?

Also, right now is a terrible time to sell a large framed pistol. I’d consider waiting to see if the rule gets overturned. It’s not like someone is going to buy it and be able to register it for free at this point anyway.

I was leaning toward keeping the larger of each set as well. I must’ve been mistaken, I was thinking a person could still file for free until the 31st of May.

Its a technicality of the way the rule is worded.

The wording of the rule rule made transfers of ownership as of the date of publication verboten so you had to be the owner of an item prior to the publicstion date of the rule to be eligible for the free stamp.

That said, Im a big fan of dont ask, dont tell.

If you register for free it is a real SBR. There isn't 2 classes of SBR.
But with the free one, somebody can ask to see your stamp and you get to say you don’t have one. 🤔

I only said the larger ones since you did haha. Personally, I’d pick the smaller ones but I’m not a big guy.

I have a CZ Scorpion 7.5” and an MP5K clone, and I love the smaller package of the MP5K. Throw a fan on there and it’s still pretty small. Throw a fan on the Scorpion and it’s the size of a carbine. I have enough carbines, so the K guns are very appealing.

Wait and see….if they (atf) make use outlaws, then act like them…I personally think the supreme court’s decision on a case in Maine (fishing of all things) takes up laws made abc gov agencies will be null and void and go though congressional approval and make them make the law as it was intended…

Honestly I wouldn't sell any of them. I'd SBR the larger of each type and just sit on the other two. The brace thing isn't settled yet and likely wont be for awhile. The guns aren't SBRs if you take the braces off and all 4 you listed will function just fine without braces.

I know several people who have been buying up braced pistols at bargin prices either to get a bunch of free stamps or as an "investment" in the hope/expectation that braces will be made legal again and their value goes up.

Remember you can always remove a firearm from the NFRTR and then sell it as normal.
