I’ve been using webbing as the base of my suspension on the tree. It’s usually too long to wrap once and really annoying to line up both loops or wrap the tree multiple times.

I came across the daisy chains for tree stands and realized that is my answer. The daisy chain loops on the tree and I can hook my tarp suspension to whatever loop works best. Going to be faster, pack smaller, and a bit lighter.

7’ of 7/64 amsteel and 11 loops made with a locking Brummell splice. I finished the ends with a bunch of splices to keep the end in place.

Nice! I use a pair of whoopie slings I made.

yeah, I have a short set in yellow for the tarp too. But they were too short to wrap the tree and adjust them. I just need to take the titanium hook off the hammock, loop on the Whoopie sling and put the hook on the end of the sling. Just too lazy to pull it all out and set it up today.

up to now I’ve bought my gear but I’ll be making more of it now. Ripstopbytheroll has gotten a chunk of my DIY gear money lately.
