A former Black Lives Matter and gun control activist and candidate for Louisville’s metro council in Kentucky has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly opening fire at a mayoral candidate, police said on Tuesday.

[ZH: As the now Twitter-suspended Defiant L's noted, there is some irony here...]

Besides one count of attempted murder, 21-year-old Quintez Brown also faces four counts of wanton endangerment, a spokesperson for the Louisville Metro Police Department said.

The suspect, who was raised in west Louisville, pleaded not guilty at an arraignment on Tuesday and his bond was set at $100,000. A judge ordered him not to have contact with the alleged victim, Craig Greenberg, a Democrat running for Louisville mayor, or his campaign staff.

“The gunman stood in the doorway as he fired the shots, and one of my teammates was standing to the side of the door and was able to get the door slammed, and then he and other teammates that were closer to the door just threw tables and desks to barricade us in,” Greenberg, whose shirt was grazed by a bullet during the incident, said at a press conference on Monday.
“I’m very fortunate to have a great team of brave people who responded in that way,” he added.
“It all happened so quick—but it’s a very surreal experience.”

Investigators said Brown appears to have acted alone and the motive remains under investigation. He was arrested a short time after the shooting less than a half-mile from the scene. He was carrying a loaded 9mm magazine in his pants pocket and had a drawstring bag with a handgun and additional handgun magazines, according to police.

Brown, a social justice activist, used to write columns in The Courier-Journal on matters of race. He had also previously called in his columns to “defund the police,” calling law enforcement officers “the original slave catchers.”

“The demand is, we want to take money away from the police. What do we do with that money? We want to see less officers. We want to see less money in their budget,” Brown previously said in a report posted on Louisville.com.
“Defunding the police is our first step toward dismantling everything that was rooted in slavery. Because they’re the original slave catchers,” he went on to say.
Brown often criticized the number of shootings and recently posted pictures on social media of several young African-Americans killed in Louisville.

“This is our reality. All of these kids are gone,” he said in the post.

“Gun violence reveals the interconnected nature of our reality,” he added “What affects one directly, affects all indirectly. Especially in our segregated conditions.”
None other than Joy Reid championed this youth activist...

In December, Brown announced on Twitter that he was running for the Louisville Metro Council District 5 seat.

He also disappeared for about two weeks last summer. After he was found safe, his parents issued a statement asking for patience and privacy while they attended to “Quintez’s physical, mental and spiritual needs,” The Courier-Journal reported.

I saw where the Mainstream media was pontificating that he might have been right wing.

Me too. They seem to want to push that narrative until it gets destroyed. When the truth comes out, they simply bury or ignore it.

Oh it gets better:

Black Lives Matter's Louisville chapter told WHAS11's Rachel Droze that they're bailing out the suspect in the attempted murder of mayoral candidate, Craig Greenberg.

Just spoke with @BLMLouisville. They are heading to the bank to get a cashiers check to post Quintez Brown’s bail. Brown is charged with attempted murder for allegedly shooting at mayoral candidate @RunWithCraig.

As the Washington Examiner noted earlier today, BLM filings reveal that the organization's leadership now includes prominent Democratic lawyer Marc Elias and another longtime ally of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who have taken on key roles in the 'charity' amid scrutiny over mismanaged finances to the tune of $60 million.

Elias, best known for his funding of British ex-spy Christopher Steele’s discredited anti-Trump dossier while he served as Clinton’s 2016 campaign general counsel, appears to be representing the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation through his recently formed Elias Law Group. BLM’s national organization repeatedly lists the Elias firm as one of its addresses and states in its short-year 2020 Form 990 that its books were now in the care of the Elias Law Group.
Additionally, Minyon Moore, a longtime top ally of both Bill and Hillary Clinton, is now listed as part of BLM’s board of directors in the charity's filings.
It's not clear when BLM's relationships with Elias Law Group and Moore began.
In short, the sitting US Vice President actively helped to bail out BLM rioters while Trump was in office, while Clintonworld-controlled BLM itself is now bailing out suspected murderers.

I take it national and international media will not be doxxing these folks and asking them for comment bc they have the freedom to associate and use their donor money freely? https://t.co/uTkjaEncB9

This stuff has and will continue to get worse until the United States of America stands up and says “sorry not today, not tomorrow and next week isn’t looking good either”.

Stands up to what? A lack of gun control? Too many police? Suppression of the truth? Hypocrisy of the media?

@Millie this was one of my references on another post. Again it's another hypocritical murderous thug with a made up name to sound foreign. I've never heard the name Quintez before.
Their parents/baby momma/sperm donor are doing them, and their communities a great disservice.
