seems like Plano has discontinued this case:

it opens from the top and is roomy for rifles that are accessorized

It weighs just a little over 7 lbs. and is 51.5"L x 7.75"W x 11.25"H
The bottom is flat and the lid tilts to open the top, so the rifle just drops in.

Easy to carry, not much bigger than the soft case I now use.

Does any other company make a similar product?

I’m not aware of any. What is your intended use? Maybe we can help you find something else. And I wonder is a pelican could be stripped of the foam and rearranged to be like the Plano?

The guys I saw at a rimfire bench type match the other day showed up with their ultra high zoot rifles.

Adorned all with big glass and bipods.

Their whole rigs went intact directly into the top-opening case ... super super convenient and quick.
Inside, they'd rigged the pads to 'match' their stock, barrel, and add-ons.

I can't fit my rifle in my current case unless I take off the bipod, and, even with that, it's only 'just' convenient.

It does have the pockets to hold the mags and the removed bolt, so there's that.

I was just typing out loud. Maybe someone else has run into the same issue.

Plenty of 'side opening' cases available. It's the top-open format that fills the bill.

I've got a ski case that's set up like that but bigger. Fab some holders for the actual guns and it would hold multiples.

Yours if you want it, I was going to toss it.

Thanks for the idea. A ski case is a good bit larger than would work for this use case.

Check with condition 1
Thanks.

I looked over there; they are all side-opener style. Many vendors supply this format.

There may not be an alternative available, possibly Plano stopped making the 'Air Glide' style for some safety reason?
And no one else makes one?

As Lucky63 noted, there are a number of ATV cases that have that general profile, they're just not flat on the bottom.

Lakewood makes a top loader, but it is rectangular, not profiled. It is a soft exterior, but has an ABS liner with foam interior.

SKB makes a tube type case that's an end loader but not a top loader. They also have a profiled single gun case, but its a side loader.

KCL makes nice aluminum cases that were just getting popular back when I was competing, because the airlines were obliterating Pelican and Doskocil cases. They have rectangular shaped top loaders as well, including two-gun top loaders. They're pricey but well built and have wheels integrated as well.

I found some other people looking for the same Plano item, on line, with no luck.

There appears to be no substitute.
All of the other items I have seen are too large, heavy, etc., for the intended use.

I appear to have arrived rather late to the hobby, as lots of useful items seem to be unobtanium.

Will keep looking, maybe I can find a used one on eBay or something.

Thanks to the several folks who responded with great ideas.

I'd look at overlanding and similar type companies
SR-110 Crossover Overland Cargo Case, Equipment Hard Case, Roto Molded, Stackable with Pad-Lock Hasp, Strap Mountable, TSA Standard, IPX4 Rated (Black) https://a.co/d/hGjm6Kh

There is this also, but don't know the dimensions you are looking for.

Eylar XXL 44 Inch Deep Heavy Transport Roller Gear, Camera, Tools, Equipment Hard Case Waterproof w/Foam Black (Gray) https://a.co/d/c9khf9U

This too...

Or

I've used Specialty Cases before for work and they are good to deal with. They also can assist with custom foam inserts.
