You don’t know the worst of itriders of a certain age, and all
It's called an OldWing for a reason man!
My dad has an 02 st1300 with somewhere around 85k on it. No weird noises or oil use at all. Just keeps going.
It might be an 03. I know it’s early 2000’s and he loves it. I’m really not sure of the year. It was immaculate when he bought it until my step sister backed into it. Luckily it only scratched the bags a little and broke some led strips that the previous owner had added. It's an '03 unless he bought it in Europe. We didn't get the 1300 until then. Our '02 was still the ST1100. They also quit bringing them to the US in 2012 but they are still available in Europe and maybe Canada although 2014 may have been the last year for the Canucks.

I've got a gold wing parts bike if anybody is looking for one.
You-all would be surprised at just how well a Goldwing handles. I have floorboards on mine and have to lift my foot off in the twistys so they can pivot up.
Slow speed handling is also exemplary. I've won more than one slow race with mine...to the horror of the Harley guys.
Beware the old man on a Goldwing. That ain't his first bike...
If you never crash you'll never know how fast you can go.Also crashing makes you a better rider
Yeap, it’s amizing what modern motorcycles and tires are capable of. I always giggled to myself when I would here guys say they were moving up to a little bike because they needed something faster. I’m guessing only 1 out of a million people can ride a 600 to its full capabilities. May be less than that. Don’t take any skill to get on a straight away and run a 150mph Roads I like you lucky if you can hit 60-70If you never crash you'll never know how fast you can go.
FIFYWhat I’ve learned in over 30 years of riding street bikes. Old guys on sport bikes will usually hurt you ego. I can’t tell you how many times I would go on group rides and we were getting ready to leave for the first time how all the new guys would make sure they got in front of the old guy on the SS or ST bike. I wasn’t a great rider or fast rider but I could hold my on with 90% of the really experience holligans. On a side I note I thought I was fast until I seen “Fast” .Also crashing makes you a better slider

I have a 2008 without the airbags and ABS. Could be yours.I'd love to have a newer wing before they put airbags ABS and the rest of the electronic BS on them. Old dirt riders dont need any of that crap
An old 1500 6cyl. Good motors, If it wasn't abused 119k isn't really alot of miles. has it been sitting recently??? If so check rubber stuff for dry rot. Look at the date codes on the tires, if over 7yrs or sidewall cracks put new tires on it. If it has been sitting it might need the carbs cleaned. If you can get any maintenance history on it look if the timing belts have ever been changed. If not change them. Change out all the fluids, take off the back wheel and make sure the rear end gears are lubed, clean them, check for wear and lube them up with Moly Paste, don't use regular grease it will sling that off in a thousand miles and you will be needing a hard to find rear end. Us silicate free antifreeze otherwise it will eat up the water pump. Otherwise, ride and enjoy.
Guy back out
Would you like a nice 2008 Goldwing?????
I've found the limits of my riding talent often enough on dirt bikes that I'm perfectly fine not finding them on pavement. If you never crash you'll never know how fast you can go.
