Any Public Land Recommendations

You must be from out west. Target shooting on public land is not really an option around here. There are a few firing ranges set up on public lands - check out Leeds in SC. Otherwise you're looking for private land with permission or membership in a private club.

I was afraid you would say that. I lived in Nevada and Utah about 15y ago. First time I went shooting, setup some fruit and empty beer cans in the rocks at the base of the mountain. No hearing protection, just Wild West for sure. Thanks for the reply.... how much land you got 😜
I have 1/2 acre I can't even shoot a bb gun on legally.

I just went to an orientation at PHA (Piedmont Handgunners Association) and they have an absolutely amazing setup there! 200yd rifle range, .22 range with preset steel, shotgun range, 6 tactical bays, and a bunch of pistol bays with steel already set up. Previously I was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police range in Troutman (exit 45? on 77) and it was cool, but fairly small, minimal facilities, and no preset infrastructure for targets. I think their membership is going up too, as much or more than PHA's membership, so there's really no reason to ever joing the FOP over PHA.
