Any reason not to buy a 590A1 Retrograde?

Been wanting to buy a 590A1 for a long time and the Retrograde is such a good looking pump. - Any reason not to get one? I need a new housewarming gift to myself, and the new Concept 2 BikeErg won't be there for a while.
 
I don’t own one but they look sharp and reviews I’ve seen have been solid. I say go for it. Always good to have another scatter gun.

It's cheaper and easier to convert a polymer stock to wood. That's what I did. Finish isn't park but I cerakote it and you can't tell difference. I just can't spend 1000 plus dollars on a "retro" pump action. Heck my 1897 trench didn't cost that much.

Think I'm into my 590a1 for about 900. Cheaper if you don't mind the finish difference.

What is the 590A1 RG going for at the moment?

I know they were high as hell for awhile there but have come back down like everything else. Thank goodness.

The only thing holding me back is that I don't like the safety location on Mossbergs. Other than that, go for it. Awesome looking scattergun.

They were 7-something for me at Primary Arms. I think $750

Not an A1 but the price ain’t bad.

NC - Mossberg 590 Retrograde

New without the box. It has sat in my safe since I bought it. $480 firm, no trades. An US m7 or m9 bayonet will fit the lug. Will take cash or electronic payment in person. Must see NC DL. Will travel up to 40 miles from 27376.

There are a couple at that gun store in mocksville. Victory I think? Where ben Franklin uses to be. Anyway I think they got a 500 and 590... Don't think the 590 is A1 but you should call for price. I believe in the 600 dollar range.
 
Bought one of the last NOS/blem/take off sets of riot gun furniture for my M590A1. Cut the stock down & fitted a Limbsaver pad. Perfect balance & fit for me.

I dig the heat shield, but not enough to install one & certainly did not pay anywhere near that. 'Course, that was 13 years ago, so... Glad as hell the TALO "Nightstick" came out before things went full tilt stupid.
