Working my way through a CAO sampler pack. So far my favorites are Eileens Dream and Bella Vanilla. Cherrybomb is not very good, not sure what to do with it.

Also have some Maltese Falcon and sutliff pumpkin spice in jars. Really enjoy both of those. The sutliff doesn't really taste like pumpkin spice but it's pretty good.

I'm not an aromatics guy. Virginia's and burley are what I like. MacBarens Scottish blend and Navy Flake are two of my staples.

I've gotten a few sample packs from Boswells and others.

I like a few of Boswells aromatics, PA Dutch Treat, Chocolate Cream, Raspberry Cream. I've got a couple tins from Cult, Blood Red Moon is pretty good. Lane 1-Q is a popular favorite but I don't care much for it. Here lately I've been on a Sutliff Vanilla Custard kick.

Try some Balkan Sobranie (sp?). Mixture 79 was my duck hunting tobacco, Borkum Riff was my deer hunting tobacco, and Carter Hall was what I smoked most of the rest of the time. I put my pipe down 19 years ago after having smoked one for about 35 years. I still miss it.

I never did really get into the very aromatic blends that smelled great but tasted terrible.

I used to smoke this mainly in the cooler months. May go back to pipe soon.

Smoked a lot of this during warmer months.

Smoked this when I had to do a lot of thinking LOL.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm still relatively new to pipe tobacco so still figuring out what I like. The Maltese falcon is my favorite so far which tells me I probably like English blends more but I've got a ton of aromatics to burn through. I still enjoy them though so not necessarily a problem.

Thanks for those suggestions I will add to the list.

I will have to give some of those a try. Raspberry cream sounds interesting. Lane 1-Q is what I started with and smells so good. Taste is lacking but I'll probably pick up another ounce just for the smell.

Health reasons? I've never been a "smoker" but probably have a bowl every month, sometimes less sometimes more. I think I'm starting to realize that with the aromatics. I have found some ones I really like but seems like I hate at least 3 for every one I actually like.

That honey cavendish sounds really good. Might have to pick some up for a fishing trip!

What's everybody favorite pipe? I bought a Rossi Rubino but seem to struggle with it a bit more than my ole corn cob pipe. Still learning.

The last high dollar pipes I had were Savinelli:

Honestly the best smoking pipes I had were Dr. Grabow:

I used to buy broken in meerschaums.

I had several Dunhill seconds that I really liked. Meerschaum pipes are great if you break them in properly.

Peterson pipes are my favorite. I like bent pipes with the military fitting for the stem.

I've gotten all my pipes and tobacco from smoking pipes.com. They are located in Loris SC.

Randomly, I got a pipe a few years back from @Gunbelt and actually used it this past Sunday. The Pipe and Pint in Greensboro has a pretty wide selection of pipe tobacco and I'm about out so I need to make a run soon.

Just recently got into it because I don't always have time to enjoy a whole cigar. What's a good cheap pipe tobacco that I can buy anywhere?

I also like that the stem doesn't get soggy like a cigar. Still enjoy cigars but I've definitely taken to pipes more.

I usually buy online but the lane 1Q (while extremely mild) is usually available in local shops in some form or another (they often just package it differently). Online is definitely the way to go though you can get a number of things to try with pretty quick shipping. Pretty inexpensive too compared to cigars.

Anybody have any issues "cellaring" their tobacco in mason jars? Had a bowl of maltese falcon and it did not taste right. Hope it isn't garbage. Haven't had this problem before with other jars.

Ive got some chocolate cream and raspberry cream in quart jars, haven’t noticed a change but I’ll let you know for sure this evening.

Extra Mild Cavendish - you can smoke it 'til the cows come home; good flavor, aromatic (smells like TOBACCO; not, douche-canoe vaping 🙄 ), and pleasing to the senses.

Got a whole freak'n starter kit from UPS today (good friend sent it). A standard corncob pipe, a really nice Comoy's #225 pipe, six tins of 4th Generation tobacco, lighters, cleaners, a big-azz ashtray, and a bunch of promo goodies. Can't wait to try the pipes!

Nice! For all the money I've thrown at more expensive pipes I still love my cobs the best. With the cooler temperature tonight seems like a great night for a bowl!

Broke out some Lane 1-Q which was one of the first tobaccos I bought. It's been cellaring for a year+ probably in a mason jar and it's much better than when it was new. Still pretty mild but a little bit more flavor. Still smells the best and overall just really enjoyable. Smoked much easier too.

Been breaking in my Comy's #225 for a bit, and sat down on the deck here at the lake on this chilly evening, and fired up a bowl of
4th Generation 1897 from a tin.
Good smoke, and my best pack thus far.
I've had issues with staying lit. Not sure if it's my lighting, my puffing, or my packing, but she stayed lit tonight.

You’ll get the hang of it. Ain’t like a cigar, there’s skill and intention needed to keep a pipe lit and different pipes/tobaccos smoke differently in my experiance.

My grandpa laughed when I told him I used half a book of matches on my first bowl. Lol
