Just a wondering,, as they are a bit scarce.
El Dorado SA handguns were built in WNC in the mid 80's until the mid 90's. Approximately around 1000 guns built.
I used to go by their shop & fondle,, occasionally shoot & drool over them.

I have not. We have a customer that comes in the laser shop that collects them. I test cut some replacement hammer struts for him recently. I need to see if he'll bring one in to the shop for me to look over.

I stopped at their place a few times to look, but never owned one. Seems like there was over a year wait for a while.

I've always wanted one in 45 Colt.

I sold one 3 years ago, a 44 mag Chimney Rock Gun. The previous owner had removed the rear sight and had scoped it for hog hunting. Smoothest action of any single action I’ve ever handled.

Heck Chris,, we are neighbors. :D :D Your customer wouldn't have the last name of Deck would he?

The .45 Colt El Dorado's are not common. When I use to go by & fondle etc them beauties,, we'd talk about one for me. I wanted either .357 Maximum,,, or the .45 Colt. Just before he died,, I was visiting Russ,, and he said; "You always wanted a .45 Colt. I don't think we made more than a dozen or two in that caliber."
