Anybody ever "fit" an XDM barrel?

Picked up an XDM 4.5 in 10mm. I'd like to put the 5.4" threaded bbl on it from Bar-Sto, but theirs are semi-fit at best. the upper
end match bbls say they'll need "machine work".
Anybody have any experience with these?

Maybe they just say "semi" to cover their butt JIC.

Years ago, I bought a XD45 cheap with a barrel bulge from a squib load. Ordered a new barrel for it, and it dropped right in. It’s been a while, but I “think” it was a Storm Lake barrel.

In the few after market barrels I’ve replaced in Glocks, only had one that was an issue. I found the contact points causing the problem. Then lightly and gently polished them with a Arkansas stone. Test fitting every 3 to 5 strokes.

I have a barsto semi-fit in my G20. No way it would work without fitting, when they say 'semi fit' it's off by a few thousandths in every direction on purpose.

I cheated and just paid @rbrooks to do it.
