All whippoorwills and woodpeckers from my stand. And the obligatory squirrel. I've got a good feeling about this afternoon. Anybody get one on opening morning?
 
Didn't hunt this morning, but I'm in the stand now. Got in about 4:00 and all I've seen so far is a coyote that I couldn't get a shot at. I'm gonna bust the first nanny I see this afternoon, I'm going into sausage withdrawals!!!!
 
Way too quiet of an afternoon here. This was an active spot last year. Might have to wait til October before it picks up again. Hope somebody at least got one today.
 
Just had two big does get within 40 yards, but they never closed the distance. They moved on through. Not a totally quiet day at least
 
Had a good evening but nothing on the ground. My daughter sent me a pic of a grey fox by her stand. Right after that I had a nice buck skirt behind me and into the thicket towards my daughter. Probably 6 ptr of better. She got busted taking her bow off her rack and had a stare down for a couple minutes with him then he ran off. I had 2 does come in. One close enough but never had a shot. All the good angles were just a little too far or she would have busted me moving. I think she saw me move a couple times and was really spooky. 2nd one never came out in the open. Then the grey fox came by my stand and back up to my daughters. Good day in the woods.
 
No hunting but there was some ahole blasting away this morning at 630am. Woke up everyone in the house.
