The scammers that call me are putting in overtime. I bet I've got 8-12 scam calls a day at work since the shutdown happened.
I hope you didnt just jinx it.Effin spam calls and emails?? Maybe shutting down does have at least ONE bright spot....
I had a guy from the IRS call me. He said that he could get my stimulus check in the mail if I would give him my banking info!
I’m getting more than usual. Thankfully Verizon has a new service where it labels it spam on the caller ID.
I wish I could fry their computer or phone from mine.
I got one from Duke Energy yesterday informing me it was their last attempt to contact me and they were cutting my service for nonpayment.
Too bad they called my AT&T company line to tell me that. So if you live near Central Ave in Charlotte and your phone goes out today, I’m sorry.
Hell, I just got a call from my own freakin number... They aren't taking the time off...
Well, if I were me and got a call from me, I wouldn't answer - I'd let me go to my voicemail then see what I had to say to myself.Hell, I just got a call from my own freakin number...
Thankfully Verizon just shows me the number, and if I don't recognize it I ignore it.

Seems to me that it’s gotten a lot harder to block numbers with your phone. Where that used to be a prominent button or menu option it seems to be missing or hard to find. Doubly so for spam text messages. There used to be a cell phone app that blocked incoming calls you didn't know, but after their users built their database by blocking individual scammers as they came through, the service suddenly started charging. If that's how they wanted to be, they should have paid me for my help first!
