As with my usual luck, I can't seem to find my 1911 grip bushing drivers anywhere. It's been years since I used them last and for the life of me I can't remember where I put them or if I lent them out and never got them back. :(

Does anyone have a set of 1911 grip bushing drivers that I can use? I have a set of slim bushings & grips installed on my Colt 1911 and will be replacing them with a set of standard bushings & grips, so I'd need both the slim and standard driver.

I'm located near Huntersville if anyone happens to be local and I'll drive to you. I'm happy to throw some $$ your way for letting me borrow your tool(s).

If you use the standard screws you don't have to change back and forth...I do it all the time....try it.

I had always heard that standard screws/slim bushings was to be avoided due to the void created under the screw head, which could lead to cracked grips

Success! I was able to get ahold of some drivers and standard bushings are installed. Thanks to all
