How do you like it? My birthday is next week and a m1a for a really good price fell in my lap. So really concerning pick it up vs building a AR-10. Just seeing if any members has one.

I don't own one, but we built one for a customer when I worked at the gun store.

It's a lot heavier than I thought it would be and the balance felt off to me. But that is of course very subjective.

I had one and hated it. It looked cool as crap. Then you carry it hog hunting and it's heavy, and feels like you have a 4x4 slung to you.

I had a SOCOM 16 in it. I sold it during the scare, but I'd not put another M1a in that stock. I did like the urban camo... And hard to beat a sexy, nice grained walnut.

I loved the SOCOM 16, and would love to have another, or a Scout. My go to rifle is an AR 10 now. Much more modular too.

If I were buying a modern stock it would definitely be the Blackfeather. The Sage is ancient technology by this point and just too freakin' heavy. But I'm old school, so I decided to stick with wood and fiberglass.
