Anyone missing their yearbook? Fort Jackson Company D 3RD BN. 1ST BDE. 08/31/70 to 10/23/70

In looking at that cover, it's amazing to think, that although WWII had ended 25 years earlier, & we were well into our second major war since V-J Day, the uniform had barely changed in all that time. OTHER than the M-16s, both those soldiers look like they could've just come ashore on D-Day.

Even by Grenada in '83, the uniform was still pretty much the same, but the evolution in both fabric and design is amazing by Desert Storm; even moreso from 1991 to 2021.

I miss olive drab, hell even the BDU. I despise digital camo.
