Anyone own a Stoeger STR-9 9mm?

They are selling for $200 with a $25 rebate. The rebate does not say there is a limit on quantity. They seem to be a Turkish built Glock 19 Gen 3 clone with a different grip. At $200 OTD they might make a good truck gun. Anyone have hands on experience with them?

Best $200 you will ever spend. I have 2. One has 200-300 rounds through it and has run flawless with a mixture of ammo. Everyone, even a couple of die hard Glock guys were very impressed. I watched one very accomplished shooter do a speed run on bowling pins faster than his Glock! It is now my girlfriend’s house gun. The other one is still NIB and I wouldn’t take $300 for it much less $200. For some reason the Stoeger never got the love it deserved. I would not hesitate to trust my life with one.

I’ve had same experiences as etruett. Impressed with accuracy and handling. Backstrap feels a little course to the hand but hey other than that, I’d go for it again
