I dunno...he got what he was after, some serious appraisals, in another thread without paying. So what's the actual motivation? The only way this would have been anythng other than gum flapping would have been for supporting members to not offer appraisals outside the paywall thread.

If you’re referring to Csc versus this place. There’s no comparison. Different owners and a completely separate entity. For clarity, is that what you’re really referring to?

I think he’ll pony up based on the good faith efforts of members to help him. It’s unlikely that anyone would join just to get appraisals, so not really giving anything up by answering his questions, and it supports the “more than” brand message.

Doesn’t mean that I agree with, or even understand, his logic.

I thought it was two dudes. I tried to explain an ATF rule related to manufacturing ammo for sale without a license. They wanted to prohibit such activity in the BST but went about it in a way that was odd and ineffective. They eventually decided to prohibit the sale of any reloads made by the poster, but allowed the sale of reloads if they had been made by someone other than the poster. I should have let it be.
