Arby's Venison Sandwich

Yeah it wasn’t great to me

I doubt it's as good as the venison we eat here at our house. Ours is aged 10-12 days, neatly cut up and trimmed and treated like gold.

Anything that you buy in a store or restaurant can't be wild game by law. So it's just going to be farm raised venison. Not much different from beef.

I’ve seen guy on fb feeding them to their dogs because they weren’t any good. Haven’t tried one myself. Believe I’ll pass

The arbys in Sanford last week sold out 200 of them in 4 hours.

None of their food is that good, I def wouldnt trust this.

That said, i go there occasionally due to its proximity to other places I go often. So sometimes I go because of convenience...but its never all that great. Just inexpensive.

It's literally out now. The two closest Arby's to my town are out.

I'm a little surprised, though, considering it's obviously inferior.

Thanks. I'll give it a try. It'll be cool for the novelty, anyway.

Venison burgers aren't all that radical in the flavor department anyway, because...burgers. It's nothing more than ground meat. Well, ground meat and fat added to it to get it to stick together properly, what with wild deer being on the lean side. I like it, don't get me wrong...at least from game deer. But in the end, it's just deer hamburger.

Venison from commercially raised deer? Never had any.

It's not ground. Click the vid in the OP.

Ah...a STEAK sandwich? It looks...over cooked.
I think you mean "PC."

At a local burger joint, I usually get the hamburger steak. Just for poots and grins, I'll ask for it medium-rare. I always get the same response. They can only cook them well done.

Hamburger I don't mind well done, but a cut of steak? Gotta have some red in it.

Well...went out last night to try it.

Wouldn't you know, it was a one day special and I missed it!

Ah, well...probably be like the McRib, where they bring it out just often enough for you to try it and say "yep, this STILL sucks".
