Arcflash labs are excited to announce the introduction of the world’s first and only handled Gauss rifle – the GR-1 ANIVL

Right now, these are expensive curiosities. ..

One day, with better, more energy dense batteries, they can be more.

For now its just a really, really expensive toy.

Ive always wondered it you could power something like this with a chemical reaction to generate enough juice for a meaningful amount of muzzle energy. Treat them like cartridges and eject them with each shot perhaps.

Fallout much? Lol

Already have a counter-weapon... The Mk2 Degausser

Wow, that was at least 2" of penetration. 🤣
Nevermind....

Man. I just want to say, In all seriousness that I applaud them for doing this research and producing this weapon.

I know a lot of people will poopoo things like this just because they can. But 2 inches of penetration is better than the first muskets ever made.

It’ll get better.

I’m just excited I could make my own Ammo with a steel rod and a hacksaw.

quote:
Sometime during the period 600-900 AD,
legend has it that a Chinese alchemist mixed potassium nitrate, sulfur and charcoal to produce a black, flaky powder – the first “gunpowder”.
This powder was poured into hallowed out bamboo sticks (and later stiff paper tubes) forming the first man made fireworks.

power it up and watch your wedding band burn through your finger.

I like pushing the boundaries and I’d like to think that someone could build one into a Tesla. Just need some giant capacitors and your problems with slowpokes in the left lane will be a thing of the past.

I know with the Navy's rail gun takes half a ship of capacitors to work. They're insanely deadly weapons, but they sure do require on helluva battery to operate.
