Interesting. Things to think about. The point about fit is something I learned about years ago. I found out that English bird guns are usually custom fit to the shooter, comb height, length of stock, etc. A proper bird gun points naturally to the target. A way to check this is to pick a point in the distance, close your eyes, mount the gun and then open your eyes to see the relationship of the gun to the target. A well fitted gun will be on target. If necessary, have the gun stock adjusted accordingly.
