Hey guys,

The Asheville Gun Show is this weekend (1/7 and 1/8). We will be there at the Backwoods Bang Shop booth. Drop by and see us!

Who else is going?

I think I might pop in. I actually bought my G19 from you guys(backwoods bang) at the Asheville show last year. Have me a great price and paid attention to me even though they were swamped with onlookers.

May come over to say howdy Sunday if the weather allows me to crawl out of the hills.

Will probably swing by one of the two days to see what it is like after the latest election. Maybe lower prices? :)

Like bondjamesbond says, it will depend on the weather. I'd like to go, I need a few things, but I will not risk 65 miles of roads each way if the weather is bad. Went to the Waynesvilles gun show a few years ago and barely made it home.

I will be there if the weather allows. Any snow on my road and I will likely not be able to get out. Well... I can get out by sledding down the hill but getting back in is the problem. I dont think it will be enough to do any harm - but the weather reports have been WAY off the mark lately.

I've seen conflicting weather reports. I've seen 50% chance of snow on Saturday and an inch or less in the Asheville area. I've seen worse reports as well.

Rest assured, we'll be there either way as long as there is something resembling a road to drive on.

The show is 100% a go as of right now. I see no reason why it wouldn't be. The weather isn't supposed to be all that bad.

Latest from the weather service is 4 to 7 inches, but around here who knows.

This morning alone, I've seen everything from 0.4 inches to 7 inches called for in Asheville. I think they are just throwing darts to see what sticks at this point.

Sheet! 4"-6" snow predicted tonight, 19 the low tonight, 24 the high tomorrow and 8 the low tomorrow night.
I probably will not go to this one. According to the National Weather Center.

Snowing in Sylva now. The trees are covered and it is accumulating on rooftops. Not looking good for me at this point but I will wait and see.

The show is on. They aren't going to cancel per Mike Kent. The roads are pretreated so it probably won't be bad once you are on the highway. I'm going.

I'll be there.... it beats being stuck inside with wound up kids!

I need 8 pounds of Winchester Auto Comp powder but getting there seems doubtful given the snow that has already fallen and with much more expected around midnight.. Sunday if I'm lucky.

If its like the last time we had a big snow in this area, DOT let us down by not doing anything to the secondary roads and they were awful. If they do the same this time around with the super cold weather we are supposed to have the secondary roads may suck again. Still I am fairly close by the Ag Center and plan on making it out one of the days. Everyone be safe driving if you do try to go

Just checked in front of my house. about 1/2 inch, but road and ground are still freezing. If this slush freezes, we will have a layer of ice under snow. doubt I will move a vehicle tomorrow.
Asked to sub with 3-4 years olds at church on Sunday, looks like I may have to wait for Waynesville show in Feb. Course last time I went to Waynesville I left in freezing rain and bout lost it twice going home.

It's snowing here and has been for a bit. Roads still aren't bad. Honestly, the best shows are when there is "bad" weather. If it's safe enough to drive, come on out.

I have a feeling that the roads will be better today than they will be tomorrow...I'm planning to go today.

I went. It was ok. Typical show. More folks there than I expected. Picked up 4 Trinity Force Atlas FF tubes (what I was hoping to find) at $15 less each than online!

Gonna try Sunday, was plowing and shoveling most the morning and froze my behind off so didn't go today. Roads do look better than the last snow we had

We drove all the way up from Lincoln Co and 40 & 321 were absolutely fine after 10am. I wouldn't want to be out late, though.

On a side note, anybody know why the fella was led out in handcuffs?

Felon in possession of a firearm. The officer who arrested him on his felony charge happened to be at the gun show and saw him carrying an Ar.

Just got back...aside from saying howdy to

knifeman32 it was a total waste of time. His table was pretty much the only one with any activity. Aisles were wider than usual - probably lost 2 rows of tables - and a good number of tables that were there were empty. Small crowd.

I DID see more S&W .22 revolvers than I'd seen in a while, but managed to walk away unscathed.

Overspent on a 300 BLK ejection port covet, but otherwise didn't buy a thing.

Did get out on Highway 74 this morning, thought about going, but highway not clear enough for me to drive 120 mile round trip. There will be other shows.

Could not get out of my neighborhood. If I did slide down the hill I would have never got back home. Too man secondary roads that ice over for me to make it.
