Saw a Black Friday special on this thermal scope at Cabela's. Anyone have any experience with them? I have been looking -need one for yotes up here.

Well if you don't have any thoughts on that one, got any recommendations on a thermal that won't break the bank?

I briefly had an ATN Thor. It wouldn't recognize the memory card. Otherwise, it seemed ok. The return experience with Optics Planet was so bad it turned me off of Optics Planet and I have never ordered from them again. Of course that has nothing to do with the optic. Handling the Thor made me think about the heaviness and balance of the optic on the gun. Also, seeing the limitations of the dedicated mounting system. Rethinking it all, now that I had handled the Thor and considering that for that kind of money, I didn't want questionable quality, I went with a Pulsar and have been very happy. The Pulsar is a rifle scope format. This opened up rifle mounting options to basically any 30mm system, including quick release like the American Defense Recon. Personally, I think a rifle scope format is the way to go. And since you're already spending considerable money, spend a little more and get something you can count on. It's frustrating to spend a lot of money on something and the product is flaky.

I got mine from one of our sponsors @gr8fuldoug at Camera Land .

Thanks for the info. This is a new area for me.

No personal experience with them but the agm rattler lineup seems to get solid reviews from what I have seen on the entry level side and price point for a thermal
Thanks for the info! I'm gonna have to sell some guns first:(

Reason i dont have one after looking at them so understand. Just fyi you can get in the digital nv game for a good bit cheaper. Just not thermal cool.

Yes I have looked at that also -but with my old eyes and the undergrowth here the thermal would probably light up the yotes better for me.
