After owning nearly every iteration of S&W 3rd Gens over the years, I've been without for the last 2-3 years. There are several that I've let go and immediately regretted...well, I was talking to one of the members I'd sold one to a while back and he mentioned maybe letting me have it back. So...yada yada yada...welcome home my old 4513TSW!

Looks just like the day I sold (8/2014) it!

I'm going to need to scare up the leather I had for it before...if it's still in inventory.

Ain't she purty?

Man I missed out on some at lawmen's when they were 450-600 depending on condition.

:(

I had to drive to Fayetteville and back to bag mine. Congrats!

Ah, S&W third gens...

the Lay’s Potato Chips of the gun world.

I so want to like those, but I just can't. They're beautiful & feel great in the hand, but I couldn't shoot the 5906 I had briefly worth a darn.

I also prefer SAO pistols, so there's that. There's a 39-2 I fondled in SC that was awful sweet, but my preference lies elsewhere.

I am interested in shooting the missus' 3913 Lady Smith that her mom gave her recently, though. Don't expect to like it necessarily, but want to see if it's as unpleasant to shoot as I've heard.

Looking forward to your report.

Nice! I've been pining for a 5946 for a few weeks now and finally scored a decent one on Gunbroker. Patiently waiting it's arrival...
The slide for my new-to-me 5946 is on the way back to Trijicon for re-lamping. UPSP shows it as “delayed”. Hope it hasn’t been lost or stolen. :(

I saw a 5946 I wanted, but it was beyond scarce and $2,226 into really rare. :( It turns out only five or six 5946s were made with melonite and integral rails.

The First S&W I owned was a 3914. Should have never let it go but times were tough and I had to do what I had to do. Sweet shooting gun. So if you don't like that 3913 i'll take it off your hands. :p

Isn't that the truth. I had the same lament with an old S&W 4516 during my college days. It was a tank of a gun, but a great shooter. I replaced it with a 4566 about 10 years ago and now the new-to-me 5946 will be it's little brother

Lol. That was her mama's gun, so I don't see the missus letting that one go.
