Been on back order for a few months through EuroOptic. You pay up front. They called and said they will not be able to get the rifle . Actually said the particular rifle was to be discontinued. I don’t know if he meant the whole CTR lineup. He said he could get it in black 24” 1/12 barrel. I passed . I want the 1/8. Offered full refund. I told him to hold off . I’ll look at the lineup for a replacement. I settled, ha ha , for the Tikka T3X Super Varmint 223 “20 1/8 . It’s on back order. Maybe august. I’m good with that. Cheers WarDawg

That one looks to me like an upgrade over the CTR since it has what looks like an adjustable comb. Losing the SS barrel and adding 2" of barrel weight makes for a bittersweet trade-off.
I've got a SS CTR in .308. I really like that rifle. . Might be my favorite one..
I'm not up to speed on the .223 magazine prices, but the .308 magazines are like $90 on a good day. Keep your eyes open for sales around holidays on the Beretta site.

EuroOptic is G2G. They do right by me. :) Sorry you didn't get what you originally wanted, but I hope the alternative comes in soon!

The 223 mag prices are about the same and also limit COAL if you want to load very long bullets.

I remember seeing someone come out with an aftermarket mag that can take long loads and was a good bit cheaper, but I’m having trouble remembering where I saw them.

I wish Bergara’s HMR series came in .223 1:7-1:8

The tikka is a nice rifle also
