Lightning and thunder with frog-strangling rain in Raleigh, but no damage that I know about near me. Maybe all the pollen got washed away.
The the Pee Dee turned yellow today.
We’re good here, just have had ENOUGH with the rain for a while. The storm did spook the cats and the dog, though, being in a trailer doesn’t help. Probably need to check the dogs geo fence collar.

My first thought as well given no evidence of a roadway or bridge…
Denver/Sherrills Ford area seems fine. Not as much rain as expected. But of thunder but didn’t see much lighting. Headed out to jobs later today and will see if anyone else faired worse that we did here.
It's pretty clear that the truck has had too much to drink and drive.
Could have been, I don't know. Leading into a curve, but not particularly close to it. Could have hydroplaned, a LOT of water fell here last night.
Looking for a Baltimore bridge.
It's that leaving the scene of the accident that is usually indicative of drunk driving.
Had the most intense and close lightning that we've had in a while... Luckily the power stayed on and winds weren't too high.

NC has the most boring weather.... I have to drive 20 hours to see anything good.
