I've had "taking some dance lessons" on my list for some time. I figure it will at least get me moving about a little.
Any recommendations in the Aberdeen or Fayetteville areas?

I just discussed this with me bride.
I’m interested in positive reviews/ideas in the Apex/Cary/HS area for Mon & Tue evenings.

Years ago LJ and I took lessons and became pretty good but it's hard to find any public venues that play the right music. Now as long as you're at home you got it covered but don't say, "Wow, let's go out ballroom dancing tonight" and expect to have a good time.....

That would be good exercise, so would a martial arts class. They teach dances that could save your life... or just show that guy who he's messing with.

I'd just like to be able to not step on a dance partner's toes!
Also, there may be a wedding to go to, and I'd like to not be a complete idiot.

CCCC offers a ballroom dancing course, so you may want to check the local community college.

Make sure you wear Duluth jeans when ballroom dancing.
I only wear jeans of any kind when in a handgun match....for the belt loops!
Otherwise, I hate jeans!

I’ve never seen ballroom dancing classes advertised. If you find a venue for pole dancing lessons I’m game to learn by watching.

There is a ballroom dancing studio in Charlotte, same industrial park as a pole dancing studio, and maybe not surprising it’s a block from the The Men’s Club.

Don't know anything about ballroom dancing but dancing as a way to lose weight is something that I have seen work in others.

My inlaws took up line dancing for a few years when they retired. They both lost a significant amount of weight and dropped many inches in waist size.

Then they quit going and put it all back on.

What is line dancing? Is that what you see in movies in the country bars? I think that does look like a good way to get up and moving!
