Good morning gentlemen.
My name is Pete and I currently reside in Kernersville. I moved here from Long Beach, CA and been a resident since late July of last year.
No hard feelings to the people and the place, it's the body politic that stink it all up(ain't that always the case everywhere?). I had planned to live there all my life, but it's simply not a wholesome place to raise young children anymore, in my opinion.
I've settled in quite nicely here. I'm moving out of my youth at 35 so the quiet and fresh air really does me good. I used to drive minimum 1 hour to get into any wooded area, and now it's in my backyard! I'm counting those blessings you can be sure.
My relationship with firearms is tightly synched with my ethnic background: Cambodian. From 1975-81 Cambodia was plunged into civil war, which claimed the lives of over 2 million Cambodians and as a funny twist of fate, brought my parents here and thus allowed me to be born and flourish in this great, great country. My grandfather had seen war, fought the communists to defend his home, captured, tortured, escaped. And if I weren't lucky enough, I had him to raise me. He cherished the freedom here, and passed that on to me, and part of that freedom was owning a firearm, and emphasizing the value on what it bestows upon you rather than the firearm itself, and this has not been lost on me.
Don't get me wrong, I love purdy firearms!
