I wear one every day at work. No matter the design of the belt system or the with or without leg straps, IE Pistol Holster, and/or Gas Mask pouch, the concept is fine until a better system is found. The better system is a LBE not just the belt.
I have ran all of the belt designs since 2012. Inner belt, outer belt, poly grip inside the belt, Cobra, SRB, one belt, two belt and I have a three-belt system.
I have personally designed two belt systems that have sold very well. -->

When you remove the suspenders, all you are doing is different levels of constriction around one's waist. the balance of the fit can be aggravating and disappointing after a few weeks of wear.
If this system is a to play dress up at the local pistol pit, then that's fine all of the systems work. But for day in, day out you need suspender's if comfort and the occasional sprint to cover will be involved.
Of all the shoulder suspenders in the marketplace the best I have found are Grey Ghost Gear Le Duty Belt Suspenders.
They are thin enough for a place carrier to go over with no interruption or hotspots developing and enough padding to wear all day in comfort.
Here is my setup for work:
- VTAC BROKO Duty Belt (outer)
- VTAC Cobra Riggers Belt (Inner)
- Grey Ghost Gear Le Duty Belt Suspenders
- Pant loop belt: Tac Shield Inner belt
Now here is the old man talking.
1. Pants belt is what you hang the pistol and gas mask pouch off of with leg straps. This way your pants belt loops keep both items trapped and centered
2. The inner belt of the duty belt is loose enough to lightly "slip" and rotate as you move
3. The shoulder suspenders hold 60^ of the weight of the belt system
4. The bottom of the outer belt friction holds the other 40%
This setup will allow you to sprint, run, dive, bound, shoot in the knelling, standing, sitting etc every time.
