Bearcreek arsenal

When their stuff was branded Moores Machine co years ago they had some questionable products. Saw several of them first hand. Since they’ve moved and changed their name they must’ve figured it out. People buy the stuff as budget AR uppers or lowers. They get decent reviews now. I know several folks that have and shoot them with zero issues. But with their past reputation, most folks will say to buy something else

ive got 2 BCA AR uppers and had a couple before these, never had a problem with any of them, ive just never bought into the whole its got to be daniel defense or nothing mess. but then again im not goin to war or shooting competition

I have BCA complete uppers and barrels in almost everything from 9mm up to 50 Beowulf. Every one has been flawless and accurate. The only issue I ever had was a feeding issue on a 458 Socom and I think that may have been an ammo issue more than the upper.

I knew about the reputation of Moores Machine. On recommendation of the gunsmith who does work for the shop, I bought a 450 Bushmaster upper. I think it was 234.00 shipped to my door. IT was a bit "rough" to begin with, laid the CLP and ran the crap out of it for a couple mags and its a shooter. Couple mags was about all I wanted. LOL. And my wallet wanted....

I just bought a 16 inch 1/7 .223 wylde barrel for a Radian build. This thing shoots GREAT, all the way to 700. I will buy my next one from them also.

I have seen a few of their ar barrels come in with sticky chambers. Failure to extract and sometimes needing to be "mortared"

Upon contacting bca they took care of all of them.

I thoroughly recommend against it. Terrible QC, terrible weight balancing (super front-heavy), unreliable ignition, heavy as sin, less accurate than other budget barrel brands, and nobody who knows what it is will buy it from you secondhand for what you have in it. Having handled and tried to fire several, I can say from experience, you get what you pay for. Or don't. Because you don't even get what you pay for with BCA. The ones I dealt with were terrible. If you can afford literally anything else, I would buy that instead. I'd take an Anderson or PSA long, long before I'd take a BCA. Maybe I was just super unlucky? Who knows. Those who say they've done well for them, I believe them. But I would not buy one.

I have one complete upper, a "12.7x42mm not-a-beowulf" that I have had no real problems with it after tweaking the ejection port door spring. It is surprisingly accurate.

I used one of their barrels on another project, and it was the only Bear Creek part on it.... also surprisingly accurate. It is also a .50 beo.

For some reason the .50 beo "12.7x42mm" units seem to be better then many.

Of course these were all bought when it was dirt cheap, so of course its not as good a deal now.

A few years ago….

Bear Creek supported the raid, so do not assume ill will from them.

They did I-9 checks and all passed, they kept the records of each "employee".

Its the .gov's fault for having a system that people beat every day of the week. Not the employer who does as required by law.
