I was talking to KGM over the phone because I bought an R556i (integrally suppressed 5.56 upper) at Fuquay Gun today.

It sounds like they are stopping all commercial/civilian sales this Friday and are focusing completely on LE/Military/Gov/OEM work going forward.

I asked about a few of their cans and they're blowing them out if you call them.

I don't even know if I'm supposed to be telling anyone but the prices were lower than any decent silencer on the market for the R556, R30, and SMG9.

If you are impatient and don't want to wait until they open tomorrow morning, feel free to PM me for the prices they gave me. I'll try to check my PMs before I go to bed tonight.

Also note that they are not blowing out the R556i (the integral upper).

I don’t know enough about KGM, other than the fact that they make DA, to pull the trigger.
 
so, are they going to take legal action against you? cut off your sales contract for going below MAP?
i'm genuinely curious about what you're afraid of
 
Curious about the 30K but looks like it’s sold out

Wonder if they plan to come back to the civilian market.

Not sure I like them cutting off the market that made them so they could go after $

Nah, just not sure if they want the prices publicized or not. And no need to show prices for people after Friday when they'll be unavailable.

I already have a KGM R65 that has been sitting in ATF jail since last July. Otherwise, I'd probably have jumped on this when it first posted.
 
After looking around online, seems like this sale has been going for over a month and they had roughly 8K suppressors to sell through at the start (including most of their models, not just these 4).
 
Talked to Beau today, I made it in the cutoff by about an hour, lol. It sounds like a dealer bought out all of the remaining stock yesterday when that email snafu happened (including the R30T and SMG9 that I wanted, but they're changing it for a R30 and I get a R556 still). Deal is dead now.
 
I got an email from Altus Shooting Solutions yesterday that showed a bunch of the KGM cans in stock (not at blowout prices). They had R6 and R65 that weren’t available in the blowout sale though.

Coincidence?

I thought you meant the actual original/first post in the thread :)

The R556s were 299 from KGM and are now 400 from Bereli. Still a good deal.

Yeah, he just meant he updated it to include the Bereli link and stuff. Still a good deal for sure.
 
Yep, the prices are still crazy good. The new Daniel Defense Soundguard KGM cans are $750-$1000 (5.56 and 30) and they're the same with an extra logo on them. The SMG9 is only $25 more right now than when they were blowing them out. I regretted missing the original sale and said screw it with this one and grabbed one.

Yeah, I bought a SMG9 cause they had sold them out from under me to Bereli, lol. But $25 extra is whatever 😆 Guess I'll call Beau again tomorrow and see if he's actually going to send the invoice or if I need to buy from Bereli.

Side note: Only 3 SMG9 left in-stock at Bereli.

How does the purchase and transfer work from Bereli in Florida? I understand how a can purchase works in NC at my LGS especially with Silencerco but unsure how this works elsewhere.

They transfer it to a local FFL/SOT who then does the transfer to you. Same process as with a gun, but with a couple extra forms and an extra tax along the way.

Shouldn’t be an extra tax.

Receiving SOT will probably charge a transfer fee, but (as you know) the F3 transfer from Bereli to local SOT is tax-free.

Aside from the muzzle device, what is the difference between the 30 and the 30T?

The 30 is titanium as well. I didn’t see anything in the description with difference in specs between the two. Was just curious. At those prices, it is tempting to try one or the other, even though I don’t need another .30 can. At least for now.

Color, QR Code, and muzzle device (includes). 30 T was an FBI specific suppressor for precision rifles.
 
you know, a thought occurred...

gotta be careful with some of those leo/mil models. i heard Kyle Grob -KGMade became KGM- on a podcast say that contracts can have different desires than consumers, and noise reduction isn't always a priority compared to size/weight/lifespan/durability/etc. He didnt' say his stuff wasn't really good, but he said some models might not always be what consumers want. that being said, a couple dB here and there is nothing when you factor in getting really good deals.
 
439x R556, 93x R30, and 518x R30T left currently. So maybe if you're looking at the R30 it might be a good time to grab it, the others are gonna be there a while for you to contemplate, haha.
