I've got a 1301 comp 21" inbound and I'll need an extended tube for it for 3 gun. I think a +5 is the way to go, does anyone disagree?

I've heard Nordic is the tube to get, but I'll be damned if I can find one. Perhaps I don't really know where to look.

Can someone help me find one?

Nordic for sure. You have to buy the nut and extension tube separately.

I’ve been slobbering all over the Youtube videos for months for a 1301 tactical or comp. But I’m not breaking my resolution of not buying one unless something else goes out the door. All I want it for is self defense. I assume your’s is a competition gun. In my opinion it blows the doors off the Benelli M4.

Thank you, I didn't realize they had to be purchased separately.

+5 seem about right? Is a clamp advisable?

I’m about to place an order for a plus 5 tube. I think standard tacops tube loadout before the buzzer is 8 so I could slap in a double load and be at 10.

It will stick out a good bit past the barrel but,….🤷‍♂️ Whateva.

Thanks for the help.

Yup, it'll stick out. I went with the +5. As you said, some stages I just pop 2 in right off the buzzer. My tube has a fair amount of carbon build up, but I've never bothered scraping it off. I DID have to play with the spring a bit to tune the feeding cycle. I did not bother with a clamp, though it's not a terrible idea.

That plus 5 sticks out there on the 21 inch barrel! All good.

I’m going to do a little break in shooting this weekend. How did you “play” with the spring to tune? Are you about talking trimming the number of coils? What sort of failures would you look for?

Bear with me, I’m used to gear for dummies that isn’t fancy but just works 100%.

Thanks 😀

nordic recommends cutting tube springs to something like 11-14in past the end of the tube with the end cap removed.

i have found this length is more important for guns like the m2. the 1301 cycles differently and can get away with less spring which yields less resistance pressure for quadloading.

the 1301 immediately releases a shell as the trigger is pulled. as long as there is enough to push the shell fast enough clear the catch onto the lifter before the cycle starts youre good to go.

id recommend starting at 12in extra length and leaving the tube loaded with shells for a few days then reasses. once the spring takes its set you can clip a few more inches off. make certain to bend the coil in nicely so it doenst bind in the tube or in the follower.

i also clip a few coils off of the lifter return spring as well to make it softer for quads.
