Picked up a BMR steel last weekend, got everything together over the past week to take it shooting this morning.
It comes with a 5 and 10 round mag, and out of the box the trigger breaks right at 2.5lbs with zero creep.
I mounted a Leupold VX-2 6-18x40 and added a Victor Company cheek rest.
The weather at the range this morning was 39*, cloudy, with the wind at 10-12mph and gusty coming in from around my 9 o'clock
I shot a little at 25 yards on A-7/5 targets and at 50 yards on Redfield targets. 5 shot groups on each target.
I was shooting from a bench with a Lyman match bag in the front and a Midway squeeze bag in the rear.
Of the ammo I tried, Eley Match black box shot the best. Shot a .32" and .34" group with it at 50 yards.
Eley Match, Tenex, and Team were all pretty tight at 25 on the A-7/5, with the Match showing a distinct advantage.
Tenex opened up and did not really do that well at 50, about the same as CCI standard, and for some reason I didn't shoot the Team at 50.
The bolt was a little rough closing at times, gonna clean it up and polish it a bit. Seems to be a common complaint on these
I still have a few more ammo types to try, hopefully we'll get some decent weather soon to play around some more.
Either way, really fun gun to shoot, and it looks promising accuracy wise.
