Picked up a PSA dagger as I've been wanting to tinker with one as they are budget friendly. As to keep it on the budget side but add to it, I'm debating putting a comp on it. I have read and seen mixed info on the subject in respect to the factory recoil spring being an issue. Sooo... I'm here for suggestions and thoughts on the best, budget comp for a dagger.

I assume your goal is to better control recoil? This is a much more effective gadget and it works on all your guns:

I have Griffin micro carry comps. They are not much bigger than thread protectors and provide small improvement over bare muzzle. At least noticeable to me. No need to tinker with recoil springs. An alternative to Griffin's is the HB industries micro comp. No first hand knowledge though.

I’m gonna assume you’ve never fired a comped gun. I don’t care how strong your grip is, a comp will reduce recoil. That said, I don’t think they added length and bulk is worth it, but there’s not denying that they greatly assist in mitigating recoil.

I have a HB micro comp and ran it on a dagger in a match and in a few classes. It does a little bit sure, but I'd probably recommend going for an actual comp. There's also the issue that it comes unthreaded very easily and in my experience (even after red loctite and torquing the snot out of it), as it unthreads the zero begins shifting enough to be frustrating, especially when in a competitive setting. Ymmv, but I wouldnt recommend it.

The Griffen may be better.

If you want to try something like the Griffin with little commitment, there are knockoffs on ebay for $40 or so.

I'll look into a few. I'd prefer one a bit bigger but definitely appreciate the suggestions. This isn't gonna be something shot everyday

The Griffin is roughly $50ish I believe from midway right now. Think that's what it was when I glanced on lunch
