Best light for Canik tp9 sfx

Subscribed: I'm interested in this as well- I can't find a holster for mine, much less with as with a light and I'll probably end up making my own.

I've had the olight pl-pro on mine for a about a year and a half, no problems and is really bright. Usually lays on dresser or nightstand, so no holster.
That's about the only setup I've seen a fair amount of reviews on but it looks like it wouldn't be hard at all to spend $100-$150 on a holster for this setup. Now, obviously this pistol wasn't designed for iwb but I still like to have the do all pistol in a holster for moving it around or if I wanted to take it to the range. Hoping they get some more options for this.

If you find yourself near me I often make holsters for folks that can't find a mainstream commercial option. It's kinda my thing....

PM me if I can help you out. My work can be seen in the link in my signature.

I will definitely remember this! Thanks!

Mckinatec makes holsters for most pistols in the Canik line. They have a custom option as well.

I may have seen there name. I also saw that Canik has their own line of holsters now aside from the ones the guns come with that you can buy on their website.

I'm a big fan of the TLR-1 HL.

I carry in a T1C MSP holster which is a universal iwb holster that retains the pistol on the weapon light. They have models for the Tlr1, X300, and the pl350.

I think PhLster does something similar as well.

So you have that setup for a sfx?

It's universal, so I'd imagine it would work fine.

I'm carrying a comped and dotted P10c in it daily, but I can also cram a G21 in it no problems. It really is impressive what all you can fit in it.

I have the PHLster holster. If I remember I’ll toss a light on my Canik rival and see it works with the holster.

@Presman30

I'd recommend a surefire tlr1hl. The 1hl is perfect for 5" barreled guns you'll have about a quarter inch of slide/barrel past the head of the light on the sfx.

RR makes good stuff. There are also some online guys that make custom holsters if you are not close to RR.

Streamlight if your on a budget, Surefire or Modlight if you're not.

I would recommend Cloud if they'd actually launch the pistol light they've been talking about.

Even when cloud does eventually launch it will be a disaster and probably about a year before the lights are actually in stock regularly.

@Presman30 the Phlster Pro holster works perfectly with the Canik

Yea but I'll happily buy from any company that refuses to sell directly to the ATF.

I cant seem to find a canik holster on their website
They don’t have one specific for the Canik. The floodlight is made for either the Modlite, Streamlight or SureFire and works with just about all pistols.

I can’t say I’ve looked for an aftermarket holster for my SFX but the cheap-O-Light mini-2 Valkyrie fits very well but definitely looks too small for the size of the pistol.

I just got a tlr-1 HL I will post some pics later. It is big and bulky but it fits very well for the way I have my SFX setup.

If you pick a super common light like the tlr1-hl or an x300 you can buy a "generic" holster that is retained by the light instead of the gun.

I have one like that. I think it's the raven concealment perun. As long as the light is mounted it should fit "most" pistols.
