Saw this same headline on a SI.com article. I immediately thought this forum would have some great answers.

Discuss, brag and vent. Go!

A smoked bologna loaf is pretty damn good too. We found that out a few months ago.

My first even hearing about it back then........lol

Whoda thunk it?
I’d never thought to do that. I’m gonna make sure it’s part of the tradition from now on

Another thing you may not have heard of is smoked spam. Coat in your favorite bbq rub and smoke for about 2hrs at 225. Will change anyones mind about spam.

At this point I have smoked just about everything and it is all good!

Spam? You are so going to hell! :p

All of the above. I picked pork butt since I don't have the means to do a whole hog. I do love ribs, though.

The question is wrong..... the real question is is there anything that doesn't smoke well.

Sometimes brisket, sometimes butt, sometimes ribs. I've not ever met smoked meat I didn't like.

I would have answered pork but I consider that BBQ and whole chicken/turkey breast wasn't included. That said I voted for fish. If you are ever in Beaufort NC go to fish town and buy what ever smoked fish they have (varies daily). It will blow your mind.

You can smoke just about everything I know I have tried but if I had to pick on thing that is best when smoked vs any other cooking method it has to be brisket. There is nothing better than a nice prime cut of brisket properly smoked.

I always smoke a turkey for Thanksgiving. We have one oven roasted turkey and one smoked. Another awesome thing to smoke it tomatoes. You can smoke them and then make a awesome tomato soup or tomato sauce.
