So I just came back from RCWA the help was there shooting their match for this weekend’s Falling Steel plates match.

Got talking with a few of the guys and they were more than willing to let me try out their guns after talking with them and getting to know more about them. Noobie to the pcc’s. I shot a Frankenstein gun to a JP to a Davinci completely decked out. Wow so much fun.

Learned so much about the recoil systems. That’s probably the most important thing with them. And flat shooting amazing.

Ok time to start building one.

I mean, there is nothing funner in the shooting world than a PCC on a sea falling plates!
ping ping ping ping ping ping

My PCC is my most hideously ugly gun. It was built piece by piece to achieve one singular goal: to be fast and fun! Only performance was considered.

A PCC is definitely on my list. Wish there were more roller delayed colt mag options out there.
I met the guy that designed this. And actually shot his gun there yesterday. Real nice guy

Thats a cool idea.

Not crazy about the exposed rollers, but I think its the right direction for advancement in the AR9 PCC world.

I bought a box stock SA Saint Victor 9mm that was designed for and uses Colt pattern mags. I bought it anticipating shooting the match at Rowan Co. Cant bend over and set a bunch of steel w/o checking into the hospital afterwards so I didnt shoot it but shooting steel with a PCC is a hoot. Nothing like the old Colt AR that a friend of mine has. All I need is an after mkt trigger. The SA one is way too heavy. JP knows how to make a smooth shooting gun. I just cant justify in my head paying 3 times what I paid for my SA. Ive shot their Low Mass System in their 223 and its the bomb but damn the price. ANd this is from a guy with 2 BR guns being built right now. Crazy, I know.

I can't justify a JP either, but they are awesome and when I hit them numbers I am buying one of everything they make, lol.

My take on matches/reset:
My feeling is everybody who is healthy and able needs to reset. If somebody were healthy enough to make the match, but not to reset, I would want them to bring a chair and enjoy the match and let the rest of the squad reset. Likely most would feel that way.

Quite a few guys have tested the Scheel. Clever idea and it looks like he's refined it a bit. There are other roller-ish systems coming out like the Maxim Def one:

IMO, it becomes splitting hairs a bit. Looking for the best parts. No matter what you have it will have it's own feel and you need to practice and find the right ammo you like. Gun parts don't make you win.

At the end of the day, Max Leograndis and many others have smashed everybody with basic blowback PCC's. Some real good members on the forum here use them. Ike Starnes is a PCC Grandmaster and I think he uses a basic blowback PCC? Some GM steel challenge guys on here too that I have seen use them. Get them tuned right and they work great and can be had fairly cheap.

Just purchased my first PCC. Should be in next week. I went with the Freedom Ordinance FX-9 -- knowing that the newer models should like more variety of ammo. dedicated lower for the Glock Mag -- I have a feeling I will have to tune this one to get it like I want it. Decent platform with issues on the ejectors and ammo pickiness history that is said to be fixed. We'll see.

If you ever want to use a suppressor, a delayed blowback system make a difference with the at ear decibel level. Depending on the host and ammo, a direct blowback system can still be loud at the shooters ear.
Yeah... blowback systems blow. Literally... rudimentary for sure. But I have something else suppressed in a similar platform the has a little more energy.

This will go in the wifey's trunk safe. The daughter wanted a particular load out for her trunk safe.

My PCC is short-stroked, so is not able to lock back at all. No hindrance.
More important to have reliable big-stick mags. One of the reasons Glock-mag platforms are popular. The 33 rounders are cheap and plentiful as are large and reliable mag extensions for those magazines.

I shot my first IPSC/USPSA match with my Saint Victor 9mm about two weeks ago.
Never had so much fun with anything pistol caliber.
Can't believe I waited so long to get into the PCC game.

Okay... now I am starting to get a little excited. Like checking the UPS status every hour, excited.
