I need something to watch. Is Black Sails (Netflix) worth the time?
 
Watch it for sure. It’s entertaining, has bewbs, and has some historically accurate characters.

The girl who plays Anne Bonny is the shit.

We started watching it and abandoned it, but it’s gone on long enough that it might be enjoyable.

If it’s the series I remember, there was a scene with a gross sailor visiting a hooker who was giving him a hand job, while he kept saying, “I want to f…”. Should be entertaining to this group.

We enjoyed baby reindeer, which was not what we expected, and are currently watching The Asunta Case, which is rather intriguing so far. We also like Entravías (wrong side of the tracks).
 
It was good then the last season they introduced the gayness. Still worth a watch especially if you like pirate stuff.

I was gonna say that from all i've heard and seen, you can't go wrong
but apparently they did.
 
Watched it when it came on HBO Max a couple years ago, watching it again on Netflix. There's a couple of ocean battles where the CG work could have been better but it flows. It's easier to watch than the Pirates of the Caribbean stuff.
 
It's got some decent soft porn and some girl-on-girl action, and that is just the cherry on top of a decent show. Don't watch with kids.
 
Agree - don't watch with the kids, but it was one of the best shows on TV at the time, IMO. Some of the side-stories run a bit dry, but there are several characters with solid story lines. The entire series is a prequel to Treasure Island, and as noted, does include several historical figures.
 
I enjoyed the show, but had to watch without the wife. She'd be like "Pirates, I'm out" and go upstairs. Then the boobs popped out and I was happy she didn't care for pirates.

I’ve had this show on my list for a bit. I think I’ll check it out. Sounds good.
