Not gun, but knife-smithing. I've had a little project on the back burner for awhile that I promised a friend I would complete.

The plan is to take a Ranger RD9 knife and convex it, then fit some micarta scales to it. No big deal.

What I would like to do first get close to a final convex grind, then have someone blast it to remove the awful black coating that was applied at the factory.

Does anyone around Charlotte or Denver area offer reasonably priced blasting?

Thanks

I’m in concord but I’m sure someone in Denver has a blaster and could knock it out.

I'm in Huntersville near the Sam Furr Road exit. I can blast the knife with 120 grit AO while you wait.
