Guys- I don't care if you're a Fudd, Black Rifle type, SASS, Black Powder/Muzzleloading type, IT IS TIME TO DROP THE DIFFERENCES AND WORK TOGETHER
I'd agree 100% that we, as a culture, have to work together. Thing is, it will require EVERYONE within their own "faction" to accept, in whole, the right enshrined in Amendment II.
I get it...everyone has their own penchant...whether it is flintlocks, bolt rifles with stocks that were once part of a tree or weapons/variants designed by Gene Stoner or Mikey Kalash. If dressing like Doc Holliday and skinnin' that smokewagon in weekend competitions makes you happy, I'm with ya. If you'd prefer to spend the day on the trap range with a $70,000 Purdey, go for it. If you wanna do mag dumps with your bumpstocked AR, have at it.
ALL of that falls under the RTKBA and we are all in this together...
so long as each of us understands the keeping and bearing of arms cannot be "cherry picked". Provided someone gets that, I'm with 'em...shoulder to shoulder.
What I refuse to do is work with someone who would knowingly and willingly toss another member of the culture under the Greyhound's wheels for some perceived "assurance" they'll get to continue their respective pursuit(s) of happiness...as Aldo Raine said, "Now that, I cain't abide." 1) Because their understanding / comprehension of the RTKBA is pretty shallow and 2) Trust issues...my gut tells me if I turned my back to them, they'd have no hesitation at all planting a blade between my shoulders if it might benefit them.
Using the bumpstock example, we have to stop throwing the antis a "bone" to appease them. Instead, we need to starve their asses out by saying, "Nope..no more. We are ALL standing firm on this and yall ain't getting another damned thing."
