So I got myself a new Tracker Grizzly 1754 last year, without an engine. I took the remote controlled 9.9 Merc off of my Gheenoe and mounted it on the Tracker while I waited for the purchase of a new , larger engine, for which I had built a steering console.
I rigged up the controls and the stick steer from the Gheenoe temporarily on the port side, which worked, but was awkward.
Well, there are no "new" larger engines available any time in the near future, so, since we'll be hosting two of the grandsons at the lake for 4 days next week, I moved the controls to starboard and used an old steering helm that I had on hand in the console and hooked up the 9.9 in the normal fashion. Should work easier for limping around the lake with the boys next week.
So that's what I did in the "garage" this week!
