Bolt catch pin install

I still never bought a set of roll pin punches, but I own one of those semi auto center punches.

I started the roll pin with the center punch, but didn't think to ask my wife to video it. I only thought to do that when it came time to drive it home.

Once started you can push most pins in an ar15 receiver in with a pair of channel locks too. Works wonders on gas tubes

The stars must have been aligned because this one started so easy, I thought something was wrong.

The lower was on its side with the end pressed against my left palm. I held the pin with my fingers and cycled the center punch. It went right in!

Great idea!

I was happy because there was no wrapping the lower with tape or anything like that, in order to protect the finish.
